Concept

Master Bedroom with open bathroom area for an old holiday house in Mitilini. The brief was "make it look like almost nothing". The bathroom area is elevated by 2 stairs from the rest of the space and the WC is the only private space within the master suite. A wall separates the back of the bed and the marble bench upon which the washing basin stands. Special focus was given on the use of materials and the lightening of the space. According to the local architecture, the bathroom floor was made out of pebbles and the walls are covered in cement. The spacious bath is sunken in the elevated bathroom floor creating thus a seating area around it.
